While I was working on the kids' social media content at WarnerMedia, I thought that creating some fun videos that weren't just your standard clip-cuts would be both a fun project and also be more engaging for younger users. The below are some examples of the videos I made - incorporating clips and animations to produce new promotional content. These posts were all made using After Effects and Premiere Pro.
I was also asked to help come up with ways to increase interaction rates on the social channels, so I thought that 'game-ifying' posts and stories would be a novel way to boost engagement. This was such a fun workaround for an otherwise static format, and really fun to ideate and make! I pulled from my previous experience with game design, and what kind of mechanics worked well for the age-range where interaction was concerned.
The story designs encourage the user to tap the screen to skip to the next story, which acts as a convincing mechanism to perform an 'in-game' action. For each of these stories, there were 5 or 6 videos - a splash/'start' screen, with each subsequent video having an increasing degree of success, before the 'win' - revealing a tune-in message.
