Illustrating for pattern design is something I've been really enjoying over the past year (2024), I love coming up with concepts for the individual illustrations then seeing them all come together. Repeating patterns make me especially happy, and I would absolutely love to do more of this work.
In July I was commissioned by online store Plush Society to create some greetings card designs. The theme was 'cats, coffee and yarn', so I got my crochet supplies out for inspiration and made a couple of different patterns. I made these repeating patterns, and then edited them in to A5 designs ready for the printed cards. The client was really happy with the outcome, and even made one of the little cat illus in to sticker designs to send to their customers.
